About

Our Mission

Sling-N-Stones Ministries exists to provide hope and healing for those struggling with addiction or other life controlling issues through Christ centered recovery and support.

Pastor Tom

Pastor Tom has not always been a Pastor. He was addicted from the first time he used drugs in the 80s. He actively worshiped Satan and became homeless for years in California, before moving to Missouri. He got clean for the first time in 1995 and then after about 10 years fell back into drugs off and on until 2012. July 7th 2012 was the final sobriety date. On October 17th 2015 Tom married his help mate Cindy Johnson, and now the two are a thorn in the side of Satan.

Our Statement Of Faith

We believe everything the Bible says PERIOD.

  • We believe There are no denominations in the Bible so we do not believe in designating ourselves as any denominations.
  • We believe Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of the Old Testament. That he was God in the flesh, he never sinned, he rose from the dead, and we are co-heirs with him.
  • We believe that Christ will one day return at the trumpet’s blast, as it says in 1 Thess. 4 and that we are not to worry about when that is and that we are supposed to be ready at all times for the bridegroom to return.
  • We believe that we are to tell everyone about this great mystery that was hidden in the Old Testamnet and then revealed in the life of Christ. Acts 8:35′ Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus.’

History

Sling N Stones Ministries was founded in November 2014, beginning its journey in a large gymnasium. This early chapter marked the beginning of a transformative movement in Bolivar, Mo. Later, they relocated to upstairs from the Salvation Army/COM building, which became the hub for their growing community. However, this location was lost in December 2019 due to a devastating fire, forcing them to seek a new venue. Now, they meet at The First Christian Church’s gym on Broadway in Bolivar, Mo. Over the years, the ministry has witnessed many transformative experiences, freeing people from drug and alcohol addiction, addressing mental health disorders, and reuniting families. Yet, their most profound impact is seeing individuals find Christ and turn their lives around.”
